Dill sauce with meatloaf

Ingredients

3 slices of our roasted meatloaf

2 tablespoons of butter
-
2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
-
500 ml of milk
-
200 ml of broth or water
-
100 ml of cream
-
2 tablespoons of vinegar (to taste)

1 tablespoon of sugar
-
salt, pepper
-
a handful of chopped dill (fresh or frozen)
Side:

bread dumplings

Procedure

Sauce: Melt butter and stir in the flour to make a light roux. Gradually add milk and broth, whisking well. Simmer for 10–15 minutes, then add cream, sugar, vinegar, salt, pepper, and dill. Let it cook briefly.

Dumplings: Cook according to package instructions or reheat pre-made ones.

Meatloaf: Slice and reheat in steam, microwave, or briefly in the sauce.

To serve: Place slices of meatloaf and dumplings on a plate and generously pour over the dill sauce.
