Ingredients

  • 3 slices of our roasted meatloaf

  • 4–5 slices of bread dumplings

  • 2 onions

  • 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon of lard or butter

  • 250 ml of broth or water

  • salt, pepper, a pinch of marjoram

Meatloaf with onion sauce

Procedure

  1. Slice the onions into half-rings and sauté in lard until golden.

  2. Add the flour, cook briefly, then pour in the broth.

  3. Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of marjoram; simmer briefly.

  4. Reheat or lightly pan-fry the meatloaf.

  5. Steam or reheat the bread dumplings.

  6. Serve everything on a plate and pour the onion sauce over.
